Музей РГГУ «Другое искусство», Contemporary art museum at Russian State University for the Humanities in Moscow, Russia
The Drugoe Iskusstvo Museum presents a collection of more than 1500 artworks, with 200 pieces on permanent display in rotating exhibitions throughout the year.
Founded in 2000, the museum initially housed the collection of Leonid Talochkin, featuring unofficial Russian art from the 1950s through the 1970s period.
The museum exhibits works from Soviet underground masters including A.S. Abramov, B.N. Bich, S.M. Bordachev, and V.G. Veisberg within the university environment.
Located at 15 Chayanova Street in Moscow, the museum opens Tuesday through Saturday, offering access to both university students and external visitors.
The collection now includes works from cardiologist Mikhail Alshibai's private assemblage after the Talochkin collection transfer to the Tretyakov Gallery in 2014.
