Museum of Chocolate, Chocolate museum in Pokrov, Russia
The Museum of Chocolate features diverse exhibits showcasing the chocolate-making process, from raw cocoa beans to finished confectionery products through interactive displays and demonstrations.
The museum opened on March 12, 2004, following the acquisition of the Stollwerck chocolate factory by Kraft Foods, which established a strong manufacturing presence in Pokrov.
The adjacent Monument to Chocolate, created by sculptor Ilya Shanin, depicts a figure wearing a tall hat with a chest designed as chocolate bar squares.
Visitors can participate in chocolate-making workshops, attend tasting sessions, and purchase various chocolate products at the museum's Shokoladnitsa café.
The museum earned recognition in 2003 by winning a regional tourism contest organized by the Vladimir Region's Government Physical Culture, Sports, and Tourism Committee.
