House-museum of Golikov, Palekh

The House-museum of Golikov exhibits a collection of paintings, sketches, and personal belongings within a traditional log house on Lenin Street in Palekh.

The museum, established in 1935, preserves the residence where artist Ivan Ivanovich Golikov lived and created his works from 1929 until his death in 1937.

The museum displays numerous examples of Palekh lacquer miniatures, a traditional Russian art form that combines detailed painting techniques with decorative objects.

Located at Lenin Street 2, the federal cultural heritage site maintains regular exhibitions and provides workshops focused on traditional Russian painting methods.

The collection includes the first Palekh lacquer miniature ever created, titled 'Adam in Paradise,' which marked the beginning of this distinctive artistic style.
