Description
The Rotonda in Voronezh is a partially ruined structure featuring eight tall columns that support a concrete dome and mark the remains of a former hospital building. The walls are constructed from brick and reinforced concrete, giving visitors a sense of the original building's form.
History
This structure was built in the 1930s as part of the Voronezh Regional Clinical Hospital. It suffered heavy damage during the 1942 battles of World War II when the city faced intense bombardment and fighting.
