Verkhnie Kotly, Moscow Central Circle platform
Verkhnie Kotly is a railway station in Moscow with two platforms and two tracks serving as part of the city's rail network. The station features a straightforward design and connects with the Metro and multiple bus lines to allow easy transfers between different transport modes.
The station opened in 2018 to meet Moscow's growing transport needs and reduce congestion at nearby stations. It was added to the Paveletsky suburban railway network to improve connections between different parts of the city.
The name comes from a former village that once stood in this area before the city expanded. Today, visitors can see how modern transport lines have replaced the farmsteads and fields that gave the place its name.
The station is easy to reach with clear signage and direct access from nearby streets, plus good connections to buses, trolleybuses, and the Metro. Note that bicycle facilities are available, making it flexible for commuters who want to combine different travel methods.
Since December 2018, Aeroexpress trains to Moscow-Domodedovo Airport stop here, giving air travelers direct access without extra transfers. This makes it a practical hub for both daily commuters and airport travelers.
