The Lenin Factory Kitchen occupies a 19th-century building with additional extensions, featuring German-manufactured equipment including electric washers, dryers, and potato peelers.

Established on March 29, 1925, this facility marked the first mechanized kitchen factory in the Soviet Union, processing 4,500 meals daily by 1929.

The factory kitchen represented a shift in Soviet dining culture, introducing centralized food preparation and community dining spaces while reducing household kitchen requirements.

The building currently houses the Regional Children's Library, opening daily from 10:00 to 18:00, with seasonal schedule changes during summer months.

This industrial kitchen complex supplied meals to eight different factory canteens and served approximately 25 percent of Ivanovo's industrial workers.
