Спасо-Преображенский Пронский мужской монастырь

The Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery stands on the left bank of the Pronya River, featuring three churches with traditional Russian Orthodox architecture.

Founded in the early 17th century, the monastery operated until 1724 when Peter the Great ordered its closure, but later reopened in the mid-18th century.

The monastery maintains regular Orthodox services, religious ceremonies, and educational programs while preserving traditional Russian religious practices.

Visitors can stay in the monastery guest house and participate in daily religious services, including Divine Liturgy and evening prayers.

The restoration of the monastery in 2011 brought back the revered Icon of the Mother of God 'Poruchnitsa Greshnykh' to its original location.
