Monument to submariners, Submarine Fleet Monument in Kronstadt, Russia
The Submarine Fleet Monument in Kronstadt is a granite stele on a five-step foundation measuring three by five meters, decorated with anchors and submarine reliefs. The structure received modernized lighting and maintenance improvements in 2020.
The memorial was established in 1965 to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of victory and honor submarine crews who defended Leningrad during the blockade. It recognizes the crucial role these forces played during one of the city's most difficult periods.
