Лесопарк Гагарка

Gagarka Forest Park is a woodland area of about 123 hectares with mixed trees, mainly birches, rowans, and oaks. The landscape shifts between denser forest sections and more open areas, with wetlands located in the central part.

The woodland received official designation as a park in 1958 and was named after the Gagarka River. This river runs through what was once the Razliv settlement area and continues to shape the landscape.

Local residents come here regularly to walk and spend time in nature, especially during warmer months. The wooded paths and clearings draw people seeking a break from the city's routine.

The park is freely accessible at any time with no formal entrance gate; you can enter from several points. The best time to visit is on dry days, especially from May through October, when the paths are in good condition.

The area is home to about 40 protected plant and animal species listed in the Red Book. These rare species depend on the undisturbed forest conditions this place provides.
