Липки-Алексеевское

Lipki-Alekseyevskoe is a two-story mansion in Veshki, Russia, with side wings connected by semicircular galleries and a terrace overlooking a pond decorated with stone lion sculptures. The main building and surrounding grounds span about 38.4 hectares and are designed in neoclassical style.

The estate was built in the 1820s for merchant Alexey Alexeev as the Pribylka property. Architect Ivan Zholtovsky redesigned it in 1907, giving it its neoclassical character.

The mansion served as a private noble residence and later hosted significant state figures during the Soviet era. Its transformation into a health facility shows how the property adapted to different social needs over time.

The property is currently undergoing extensive reconstruction and visitors should be aware of ongoing work and potential restricted areas. It is advisable to check access conditions beforehand, as parts of the grounds and building may still be under development.

The park surrounding the mansion is divided into four equal sections by lime tree avenues, creating a remarkably symmetrical garden layout from the 1800s. This orderly pattern makes the grounds an uncommon example of formal 19th-century landscape design.
