Domarring von Slaka, Stone circle in Linköping Municipality, Sweden.
The Domarring is a stone circle made of six massive blocks arranged with a diameter of about 20 meters in the landscape near Slaka. The stones stand prominently and create a clear geometric form that is easily recognized from different angles.
The site dates from the late Bronze Age to early Iron Age and was originally complete with nine stones. Three blocks have gone missing from the circle over time, showing how the formation has changed across centuries.
The name Domarring refers to its former use as a gathering place where community decisions were made within the stone circle. Visitors can still sense how the stone arrangement created a defined space for people to assemble.
The monument sits east of Slaka village and is relatively easy to reach once you know the location. A 1995 restoration strengthened the structure, so the site is stable and safe to visit today.
Individual stones in this circle reach heights of about 1.9 meters and widths of around 2 meters, ranking it among the larger stone formations in northern Europe. These proportions show the significant effort that ancient societies invested in constructing such structures.
