VivoCity, Shopping center in Maritime Square, Singapore.
VivoCity spans five floors with around 340 retail stores offering fashion, dining, health and beauty products, and lifestyle items. The center integrates shopping with art installations and various leisure options in one connected space.
The center was built on the site of the former World Trade Centre and opened in December 2006 with performances by String Theory and Stefanie Sun. The location transformed from a trade hub into a leisure and retail destination.
The mall features commissioned artworks created for the Singapore Biennale 2006, weaving art into the shopping experience. These pieces are integrated throughout the space, adding visual interest to retail areas.
The mall is easily accessible through HarbourFront MRT station, Sentosa Express monorail terminal, and a bus interchange. Around 2,179 parking spaces are available for visitors.
A 2018 basement expansion houses Singapore's largest shopping mall library, library@harbourfront. This 3,000-square-meter space brings together retail shopping and a free reading and learning area.
