Fairmont Singapore, Luxury hotel in Downtown Core, Singapore
Fairmont Singapore is a luxury hotel with two identical 26-story towers in Downtown Core. The 778 rooms and suites feature private balconies with views across the urban landscape.
The building was designed by architect I. M. Pei and opened in 1986 as The Westin Plaza. It took its current Fairmont name in 2007 when management changed.
The hotel houses several restaurants offering international cuisines, including Michelin-starred venues serving both Asian and European dishes. Diners can experience different food traditions without leaving the building.
The hotel sits directly above City Hall MRT station, providing direct access to Singapore's transportation network. Changi Airport is roughly 20 minutes away.
The hotel's rooftop holds an aquaponics farm where vegetables are grown using a system that combines fish and plants. Most visitors do not realize this feature exists.
