The National Library Singapore occupies a modern sixteen-story building featuring extensive reading spaces, study rooms, and digital resource centers across multiple levels.
Established in 2005 under the National Library Board, the institution inherited substantial collections from the former Raffles Library and Museum dating back to colonial times.
The Lee Kong Chian Reference Library maintains collections of Asian literature, historical documents, and manuscripts that reflect Singapore's multicultural heritage through seven dedicated floors.
Located at 100 Victoria Street, the library operates daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, offering access to millions of documents, self-service kiosks, and research facilities.
The library houses 5,000 original bricks from the previous National Library building at Stamford Road, integrated into a memorial wall within the Memories Corner.
