Chamchuri Square, High-rise complex in Pathum Wan, Thailand
Chamchuri Square is a high-rise complex in Pathum Wan comprising three distinct buildings: a 40-story office tower, a 24-story residential building, and a 4-story commercial center. The entire complex spans around 274,459 square meters and integrates spaces for offices, residences, and retail activities.
Development started in 1995 on a substantial piece of land, but the 1997 Asian financial crisis disrupted the project and led to Chulalongkorn University taking over from the original private investors. This transition shaped how the complex was ultimately completed and positioned.
The basement level houses the Science Square, a learning center where visitors can explore interactive scientific exhibits and educational displays designed for people of all ages.
The complex connects directly to Sam Yan MRT station through an underground passage, making public transit access straightforward and convenient. Parking is available with 2,000 spaces on site, while numerous bus routes serve the surrounding area for additional transportation options.
The office tower features double-glazed windows designed to reduce heat from sunlight while allowing natural light to enter, which decreases the need for air conditioning and artificial lighting. This energy-saving feature is a practical detail that many visitors overlook when they first arrive.
