Children's Discovery Museum

The Children's Discovery Museum is an educational facility in Chatuchak with four separate buildings, each housing specialized zones for interactive learning through hands-on activities and experiments. The layout allows children to move between different learning areas and explore concepts at their own pace.

The museum opened in 2001 within the Queen Sirikit Garden and became the first children's museum in Southeast Asia. Its establishment marked a turning point in providing interactive learning spaces across the region.

The museum incorporates Thai educational principles while offering spaces for children to develop their cognitive abilities through hands-on experiences.

The museum is easily reached by public transport near BTS Mo Chit and MRT Chatuchak stations. Admission is free, and the facility welcomes visitors of various abilities and ages throughout the week.

The Thor Tawan building features a semi-circular architectural design with three exhibition levels created specifically for school-age children. This distinctive form serves as a visual anchor on the grounds and organizes content vertically rather than spreading it horizontally.
