Wat Song Sawoei

Wat Song Sawoei stands along the Tha Chin River in Chainat Province, featuring several shrines and an alley decorated with red lanterns throughout the grounds.

The temple traces its origins to the Ayutthaya period and underwent restoration after a period of abandonment through the efforts of monk Luang Pu Kloi.

The modern Ubosot houses the sacred Luang Po Thong Buddha statue, which has remained in place since the structure's construction in 1916.

The temple welcomes visitors during daylight hours, offering spaces for meditation and prayer while maintaining traditional protocols for respectful behavior.

In 2012, Phra Kru Palat Siri Suwanruesi became the temple's head monk at age twenty, later receiving visits from Queen Sirikit and the future King Rama X.
