The Bayezid II Mosque is a historic mosque located in Fatih, Istanbul province of Turkey.
It was built by Mimar Hayruddin in 1506 under the auspices of Sultan Beyazid II.
Being one of the largest mosques in the city, it serves as a significant cultural and religious center in the region.
Visiting hours are usually from early morning till late evening, and entrance is free of charge.
Distinctively, it houses calligraphic inscriptions of Quranic verses alongside beautiful floral patterns symbolic of Ottoman architectural style.
