Monk's House, House museum in Rodmell, England

The 16th-century weatherboarded cottage contains preserved rooms with original furnishings, photographs, and personal items from Leonard and Virginia Woolf's residence.

Virginia and Leonard Woolf purchased the property at auction for 700 pounds in 1919 and made substantial improvements, including a two-story extension in 1929.

The house became a meeting point for literary figures of the Bloomsbury Group, including T.S. Eliot, E.M. Forster, and Virginia's sister Vanessa Bell.

National Trust members enter free, while standard admission costs £9.50 for adults, with pre-booking required and seasonal closure from December to March.

Virginia Woolf wrote several masterful works in her garden writing lodge, including Mrs Dalloway and To The Lighthouse, before her death in 1941.
