Brighton Pavilion, Parliamentary constituency in Brighton, United Kingdom.
Brighton Pavilion is a parliamentary constituency for the House of Commons in central Brighton on the south coast of England. The district runs from the seafront up through shopping streets and quieter residential areas with Victorian terraces.
The constituency boundaries were drawn after the Second World War when the old Brighton seat was divided. In 2010, the district elected the first Green Party member to the British Parliament, a result repeated in every election since.
The area includes numerous independent retailers, cafes, and entertainment venues, reflecting the urban character of central Brighton's commercial districts.
The district covers most of the old town and extends up to Brighton station in the north. Streets like North Street and Western Road connect the different parts, while several parks and green spaces sit between the residential blocks.
The area has one of the highest concentrations of pedestrian zones and car-free lanes anywhere in Britain. Many voters here are students and young adults, shaping the political profile of the district for decades.
