Dinorwic Quarry, Slate quarry in Wales
Dinorwic Quarry is a large former slate quarry, now home to the Welsh National Slate Museum, located between Llanberis and Dinorwig in North Wales.
It was the second largest slate quarry in Wales, indeed in the world, after the neighbouring Penrhyn Quarry.
The quarry has cultural significance as it was a major employer in the area for over 200 years.
Today, it's a popular tourist destination offering stunning views and walking trails.
The quarry also houses a hospital, one of the first industrial hospitals in the world.
