Winchcombe

Winchcombe is a market town in the Tewkesbury area made up of tightly grouped buildings that are mostly two to three stories high. The main street forms the town center, where shops, inns, and public buildings create the typical layout of a small English market town.

Winchcombe began as a settlement centered on a Benedictine monastery in the early Middle Ages and later grew into an important market center. From the 13th century onward, it received royal market privileges that supported its economic growth.
