Sudley House, National museum in Aigburth, Liverpool, England.
The museum displays over 2000 artworks spanning from the late 18th to early 20th centuries across multiple rooms of this historical residence.
Built in 1824 for corn merchant Nicholas Robinson, the house underwent major modifications in the 1880s when shipping merchant George Holt acquired the property.
The collection features paintings by Turner, Gainsborough, Reynolds, Landseer, and Millais, reflecting the artistic preferences of Victorian-era British collectors.
The museum provides guided tours, educational programs, and maintains facilities suitable for visitors with disabilities throughout the exhibition spaces.
Sudley House remains the only period home containing a merchant art collection preserved in its original residential environment in Britain.
