Fort Belvedere, Surrey, Country house in England

Fort Belvedere is a country house on Shrubs Hill in Windsor Great Park, England.

Built in 1828, it was a residence of numerous members of the British royal family, including King Edward VIII.

The fort is known for its Gothic Revival architecture and its role in the abdication crisis of Edward VIII.

Today, Fort Belvedere is a private residence and not open to the public.

It's one of the few surviving examples of 'sham castles' built in the 19th century.
