Syon Park House, Historic house in London
Syon House is the spectacular London home of the Duke of Northumberland, built in the 16th century on the site of the Medieval Syon Abbey.
The house was owned by Henry Percy, 9th Earl of Northumberland, known as 'The Wizard Earl' due to his scientific and alchemical experiments.
The house contains a large collection of art, including works by Van Dyck, Lely, and Reynolds.
The house and its 200-acre park are open to the public for tours and events.
Syon House has a 'Great Conservatory', a pioneering example of a glasshouse.
