Euston Tower, International Style skyscraper in Camden, England.
Euston Tower is a 36-story glass and steel structure standing about 124 meters tall at the intersection of Tottenham Court Road and Hampstead Road in central London. The building exhibits the sleek lines and geometric forms typical of International Style architecture from the 1970s.
The tower was built between 1969 and 1970 by George Wimpey following designs by Sidney Kaye Eric Firmin & Partners. It emerged during a period when London was reshaping its skyline with modern office structures.
The tower holds a connection to British broadcasting history through its role as the home of Capital Radio, which shaped how Londoners consumed entertainment and news. This link to media and communication remains part of the building's identity in the local area.
The location near Warren Street Underground Station and multiple transport connections makes this area easy to reach from across the city. Walking around the surrounding streets offers good views of the building and nearby attractions.
The ground level originally featured elevated walkways that connected the building to nearby structures within the Euston Centre complex before being converted to retail spaces. Visitors can still trace these architectural traces and understand how the building was once part of a larger integrated design.
