Snape Anglo-Saxon Cemetery, Anglo-Saxon cemetery and ship burial in Snape, England.
The cemetery extends across 200 meters from east to west and 70 meters from north to south, containing both cremation and inhumation burials under nine mounds.
The first archaeological excavation of the site occurred in 1827, followed by a more extensive investigation in 1862 led by landowner Septimus Davidson.
The cemetery includes a 14-meter-long ship burial with artifacts such as iron spearheads, glass claw beaker, and a gold ring with Roman origins.
While the burial mounds remain inaccessible to visitors, artifacts discovered during excavations are displayed at the Aldeburgh Museum in Suffolk.
This location marks the first documented ship burial discovered in England, predating the more extensive findings at Sutton Hoo.
