Brahan Castle, Medieval castle in Highland, Scotland

The remains of Brahan Castle consist of a stone wall representing the north section of the 19th-century extensions near Dingwall.

Built in 1611 for Colin, First Earl of Seaforth, Brahan Castle underwent substantial modifications before 1837 and remained inhabited until the 1950s.

Several heraldic panels from the original structure of Brahan Castle are now preserved at Brahan House, maintaining a connection to Scottish nobility.

The Royal Commission on Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland maintains digital records and photographs documenting the castle's architectural evolution.

The mansion featured a south block with eastern and western wings extending northward, forming an enclosed court with detailed architectural elements.
