Alyn Waters, Country park in Wrexham County Borough, Wales
Alyn Waters extends over 400 acres across two sections divided by River Alyn, featuring woodland paths, grassland areas, and riverside walking trails.
The land contained Gwersyllt Hall until 1910, when mining activities caused its demolition, later transforming into a quarry before becoming a country park in 1989.
The Friends of Alyn Waters group meets monthly to coordinate conservation efforts and fundraising activities that support the preservation of natural habitats.
The park gates open daily at 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM, with parking fees of £1 per day, while Blue Badge holders receive free parking in designated spaces.
The park features colored footprint routes with varying difficulty levels, plus a Trim Trail with exercise equipment for building strength and coordination.
