Bawdsey Manor, Victorian country house in Bawdsey, England

The estate spans 144 acres of waterside property with 87,000 square feet of buildings including cottages, sports courts, and extensive gardens.

Built in 1886 for William Cuthbert Quilter, the manor became the first operational radar station in 1936 and played a crucial role during World War II.

The manor's Great Hall features traditional English architecture with paneled walls, an overarching gallery, and a room covered in leather walls.

The property now functions as an educational center offering accommodations in dormitories with shared bathrooms and specialized rooms for group leaders.

Hidden grotto-tunnels constructed from Pulhamite rock connect different sections of the estate, creating concealed pathways throughout the grounds.
