Beltwood House, Grade II listed building in London Borough of Southwark, England

The three-story Beltwood House contains fifty rooms across 1000 square meters of floor space, surrounded by 1.24 hectares of protected woodland.

Edward Saxton, a London solicitor, commissioned the construction of Beltwood House in 1851, residing there until his death in 1911 at age 97.

The property transformed from a private residence into a children's hospital in 1949, later becoming a dental student residence and YWCA hostel.

Any modifications to the structure require special permission through Listed Building Consent due to its protected status under conservation regulations.

The London Chatham and Dover Railway Company maintains an active railway tunnel that runs directly underneath the Beltwood House estate since 1864.
