Bolehyde Manor, Manor house in Allington, Wiltshire, England
Bolehyde Manor is a Georgian manor house in Kington St Michael near Chippenham, Wiltshire. The two-storey building presents a central porch capped with a balustrade that carries busts at each corner.
The name comes from Thomas de Bolehyde, a 14th-century landowner who held property here. The estate later passed to Glastonbury Abbey before the Snell family acquired it.
Camilla Parker Bowles lived here during her first marriage to Andrew Parker Bowles, occupying the house for over a decade. The property has remained a private residence since her departure in 1986.
The estate sits on roughly 16 hectares and includes several outbuildings alongside the main house. Visitors can view the building only from outside, as it remains a private residence.
The local diarist Francis Kilvert recorded in 1875 that Squire Sadler Gale built wings on the property and attempted to fly from the garden wall. This early aviation experiment remains part of the local written record.
