Buxhall Windmill, Tower mill and Grade II listed building in Buxhall, England.

Buxhall Windmill is a brick tower mill located in the village of Buxhall. The structure measures approximately 17 feet (5 meters) in diameter at the base and rises over three stories, built above an older foundation that once supported a different mill structure.

The current mill was completed in 1861 by William Bear, reusing machinery and equipment from an earlier mill structure that previously occupied the site. After storm damage in November 1929, the mill switched from wind power to engine-driven operations and continued working until 1971.

The mill operated continuously under the Clover family's management, with Isaac Clover initiating the family's connection to the site from 1815 to 1844.

The mill's rotating cap automatically turns to catch the wind from any direction, making its operation dependent on weather conditions. Visitors should be aware that the structure sits on an elevated foundation, which may affect access and viewing angles.

The mill features a fantail system that automatically orients the cap toward the wind without manual adjustment, representing an early form of automated technology. Cast iron gutters run along the structure, adding both functional drainage and visual character to the brick tower.
