Brucefield House, Category A listed building in Clackmannanshire, Scotland
Brucefield House is a three-story country residence with northern and southern pavilions connected by a 19th-century entrance porch. The grounds span 420 hectares of mixed woodland featuring oak, birch, and Scots pine trees.
Alexander Bruce built this country house in 1724 as a family residence. It later housed Sir Ralph Abercromby, a prominent military figure during the Napoleonic Wars era.
The house carries the name of an early owner and reflects 18th-century architecture typical of Scottish country estates from that period. Visitors experience this design directly when moving through the building and its courtyards.
The estate sits less than an hour from Edinburgh and Glasgow, offering overnight stays in eco cabins with bathrooms and log burners. Access is fairly straightforward, and facilities are designed with visitor comfort in mind.
The grounds feature traditional drystane dyke walls typical of the Scottish landscape. A portion of the popular Round the Forth cycling route passes directly through the property.
