The cemetery spans 4.5 acres with four symmetrical plots around a central flagpole, featuring white marble headstones and evergreen trees throughout the grounds.
Established in 1918, the cemetery contains 468 American military graves from World War I, including 41 unidentified service members who died in England or nearby waters.
The chapel memorial displays 563 names of missing soldiers on its walls and incorporates 18 stained glass windows with military and religious designs.
The cemetery welcomes visitors daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with staff members available to provide information and assistance in locating specific grave sites.
This cemetery stands as the only American Military Cemetery of World War I located within the British Isles, situated 28 miles southwest of London.
