The Church of St Mary the Virgin and All Souls features a bell tower with eight bells manufactured by John Taylor and Company between 1860 and 1920.
The church structure, reconstructed in 1849 by architect Henry Isaac Stevens, stands on the foundation of an earlier religious building from the 12th century.
The church performs traditional services with robed choirs and clergy in vestments, maintaining high church Anglican customs throughout its weekly ceremonies.

The building measures 126 feet in length and 54 feet in width, incorporating a chancel added in 1900 and a north chapel constructed in 1946.
