The Church of St John the Evangelist features a cruciform layout with a central tower and distinctive architectural elements from various periods.
The church was established around 1050, and its south doorway incorporates Saxo-Norman design elements that survived through multiple reconstructions.
The church contains family memorials in the north transept and maintains a collection of eight bells, including three from 1736 by Thomas Bilbie.
Morning prayer services take place Monday through Friday at 9 a.m. in the chapel, with Rev Rona Stuart-Bourne serving as Priest in Charge.
The crossing tower exhibits an unusual width, larger than both the nave and transepts, similar to the architectural pattern found at Sherborne Abbey.
