Church of St Mary, Ilminster, Gothic parish church in Ilminster, England
The Church of St Mary features a tower that rises two stories above the nave with three bays divided by slender buttresses and decorated finials.
The church construction began in 1401, and the tower was completed in the first quarter of the 16th century with subsequent renovations in 1825 and 1883.
The church contains the Wadham tombs, including those of Nicholas and Dorothy Wadham, who established Wadham College at Oxford University in the early 17th century.
The building maintains regular religious services and houses a pipe organ with two manuals, pedals, and 19 speaking stops, along with eight historical bells.
The tower stair turret features string courses aligned with the main tower and includes pierced stonework in the upper sections of its windows.
