Dr Williams's Library, Research library in Gordon Square, London Borough of Camden, United Kingdom
The library contains extensive collections focusing on Protestant nonconformity, theological studies, and ecclesiastical history within its Grade II listed Gothic Revival building.
Founded in 1729 using the estate of Daniel Williams, the library started with 7600 books and moved through different locations before settling in Gordon Square in 1890.
The collections include manuscripts, personal letters, and papers from Protestant dissenters, alongside materials on philosophy, history, literature, and Byzantine studies.
Membership costs £30 annually, with reduced rates for church ministers at £20, while non-members need appointments to access the collections.
In 2006, the library sold its Shakespeare First Folio for £2.8 million to secure financial stability and preserve its historical collections.
