East End Park, Public park in east Leeds, England.
East End Park is a green space in eastern Leeds with grass areas, wooded sections, and recreational facilities for sports and play. The grounds contain tennis courts, a crown green bowling area, football pitches, and a multi-use games facility available to visitors.
The grounds once belonged to Osmondthorpe Hall until 1886 when Leeds City Council acquired the land and converted it to public access. This transformation changed neglected terrain into a community resource.
The park hosts major community gatherings throughout the year, including an annual bonfire celebration that draws up to 10,000 visitors.
The park is easily reached on foot or by bicycle, with clear paths connecting different areas and facilities. Visitors should be prepared for changing weather and bring appropriate clothing for outdoor activity.
A tree planting initiative between Trees for Cities and Leeds City Council since 2009 has added thousands of trees to protect against railway noise. This greening effort has improved both the park's ecology and significantly reduced sound from nearby rail lines.
