Engine Shed

The Engine Shed is an event venue in Lincoln with space for around 1,200 people attending concerts, comedy shows, and club nights. Situated at Brayford Pool on the University of Lincoln campus, it includes multiple bars, food offerings, and parking for attendees.

Built in the early 1900s as a railway engine shed, the structure was later redesigned by architect Nigel Stevenson into an entertainment space. The transformation preserved industrial railway elements while giving the historic building a new cultural purpose.

The venue serves as a meeting point where regional and national artists perform, making it a focal point for live entertainment in the area. Visitors experience a space where concerts, comedy, and club nights shape how people spend their evenings out.

The venue sits right at Brayford Pool, making it easy to locate and approach. Visitors will find parking available and can access food and drinks on-site without needing to venture elsewhere during their visit.

The building still displays visible features of its original purpose as a railway facility from the early 1900s, setting it apart from typical modern event spaces. These preserved industrial elements create an unusual setting that typical concert halls do not offer.
