Eastbourne Theatres, Theater complex in Eastbourne, England
Eastbourne Theatres consists of three separate venues: Congress Theatre, Devonshire Park Theatre, and Winter Garden, all located near the seafront area. Together they provide more than 3,500 seats for a range of performances.
Devonshire Park Theatre dates to 1883, designed by architect Henry Currey and maintains its original Victorian interior. Winter Garden was built in 1875 by the seventh Duke of Devonshire.
The three theaters showcase touring productions from London's theater district, along with ballet and opera performances. Audiences gather here to experience different art forms in one coastal location.
The venues are conveniently located near the seafront, making it easy to walk between them before or after performances. Check the current program in advance to find shows that match your interests.
Winter Garden contains two distinct sections: the Floral Hall and the Gold Room, each creating different environments for performances. This dual layout allows for varied uses within the same building.
