Farnborough Hall, English country house in Farnborough, Warwickshire, England.
Farnborough Hall is an English country house constructed of honey-colored Hornton stone in Warwickshire, featuring elaborate interior plasterwork depicting wildlife and natural forms. The building stands within a designed landscape and park that form part of the wider estate grounds.
The family purchased the estate from the Ralegh family in 1684 and undertook significant renovations starting in 1692 following a family marriage. These modifications shaped the building as it appears today.
The interior displays artworks and objects gathered during European travels, including paintings by artists such as Canaletto and Panini alongside ceramics and sculptures. These collections reflect the family's experiences and connections to the wider artistic world of their time.
The house is currently undergoing restoration and remains closed until April 2025, though the grounds remain open to visitors. A marked walking route of about 5.5 miles loops through the Grade I-listed parkland and gardens.
The estate includes a long walking path with numerous viewing stations and a tall stone obelisk overlooking the valley beyond. These landscape features were intentionally positioned to guide visitors through the park and frame distant views.
