Euston Hall, Country house and museum in Euston, England.
Euston Hall is a country house and museum in Euston, England, set within parkland and gardens. Four large pavilions frame the main building, whose facades show classical Palladian elements.
Henry Bennet, Earl of Arlington, acquired the property in 1666 and built a mansion in the French style. The estate later passed to the Dukes of Grafton, who still live there today.
The house displays paintings by Canaletto and other masters in rooms still used by the family. Visitors see furniture and portraits reflecting generations of aristocratic residents and their tastes.
The property opens during summer months and offers guided tours through the main rooms, gardens, and a restored watermill from the 1670s. Paths in the park suit walks on dry days.
The park contains an octagonal temple from 1746, which William Kent designed as a banqueting house with a domed ceiling. The building served at feasts as extra space for social gatherings.
