Evesham Vale Light Railway

The Evesham Vale Light Railway is a miniature railway operating through a country park near Evesham in Worcestershire. The track winds for over a mile through orchards and open countryside, carrying passengers in small trains along a scenic rural route.

Operations began in 2002 when the railway was established with locomotives sourced from heritage railways in France and Wales. The line has since grown to include multiple stations and visitor facilities along its rural route.

The railway maintains several historical locomotives, including St Egwin, an 0-4-0ST+T built in 2003, and Dougal, an 0-6-2ST+T from 1970.

Trains depart regularly from Twyford Station, running every weekend throughout the year and daily during school holidays. The ride suits families and visitors of all ages in a relaxed outdoor setting.

The route includes a balloon loop at Evesham Vale Station and a tunnel section that adds interest to the journey. From the train, riders can see the rolling Cotswolds landscape and the fruit orchards that border the line.
