Southwark Towers, Skyscraper in England
Southwark Towers was a high-rise building at Bankside in London.
Completed in 1976, it was demolished in 2008 to make way for The Shard.
Bankside is a historic borough on the southern bank of the River Thames.
It's been replaced by The Shard which is a major tourist attraction and landmark now.
The Shard, replacing Southwark Towers, is currently the tallest building in the United Kingdom.
