Harmsworth Park, Football stadium in Wick, Scotland
Harmsworth Park is a football stadium in Wick in the Scottish Highlands that features a seated stand and covered enclosure with more than 2,000 spectator spaces. The ground provides clear views of the pitch from different vantage points.
The ground was originally called Harrow Park and took its current name after 1920 when businessman Leicester Harmsworth donated it to the town. His gift was intended to provide the community with a space for recreation and sport.
The ground serves as home to Wick Academy FC and draws supporters from across the region who gather here for local matches. It functions as a meeting place where the town's football community comes together.
The stadium sits about 10 minutes on foot from Wick railway station, which connects to larger towns via the Far North Line. Walking from the station is the most direct route to reach the ground.
In July 1984 the ground drew around 2400 spectators when Wick Academy faced Heart of Midlothian - an extraordinary crowd for a small coastal team. That match remains one of the best-attended events ever held there.
