Herringfleet Windmill, Drainage windmill in Somerleyton, England.

The octagonal three-story structure features brick construction, a boat-shaped cap, and eight sails that rotate to catch winds from different directions.

Built in 1820 by millwright Robert Barnes of Great Yarmouth, the windmill operated until 1956 and pumped 2,000 gallons of water per minute.

The mill represents Suffolk's agricultural legacy through its preserved mechanisms, including a wooden brake wheel containing 59 teeth and cast-iron components.

Visitors can access the windmill during National Mills Day in May and selected dates throughout summer and autumn months for guided tours.

The mill appeared in the 1938 film 'And Now They Rest' and served as a backdrop for the opening scene of 'Mr Turner' in 2014.
