Jubilee Country Park, Local nature reserve in London Borough of Bromley, England.
Jubilee Country Park is a nature reserve covering about 62 acres with grassland, ancient woodland, and various habitats including chalk meadows and hedgerows. The landscape alternates between open grassland and wooded areas that support different plants and wildlife.
The land was purchased by the local authority in 1977 to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee and was formally opened as a public park in 1981. The decision reflected a desire to preserve natural green spaces in this part of London for the community.
This reserve forms part of a connected network with nearby woodlands, creating habitats where local wildlife can thrive. Visitors walk the trails to observe birds and animals that inhabit the different zones throughout the year.
The park has three entrance points at Southborough Lane, Blackbrook Lane, and Tent Peg Lane, each with parking available. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for varying ground conditions, especially after wet weather.
The grassland supports a large population of corkyfruit water dropwort, a rare plant found in only a few locations across southern England. This makes the reserve an important refuge for a species that faces threats elsewhere in the region.
