Lewin's Mead Unitarian meeting house, Grade II* listed Unitarian meeting house in Bristol, England
The Neoclassical building stands with a symmetrical facade, featuring large windows and a central entrance that accommodates up to 400 people inside its walls.
The structure, built between 1788 and 1791, replaced an earlier chapel from 1705 and occupies the former location of a Franciscan monastery.
The meeting house represents the evolution of Nonconformist worship in Bristol, transitioning from Presbyterian to Unitarian congregation in the early nineteenth century.
The building, converted into offices in 1987 by Feilden Clegg architects, now serves the Emmanuel Bristol church group in the city center.
The establishment included a school that educated 30 boys and an almshouse providing shelter for twelve individuals during the eighteenth century.
